Squibs Overview

This page is currently a work-in-progress. Please contact a staff member if you have any questions.

What is a Squib?

Squibs are diverse species of aquatic mammals that have evolved to exist across any ecosystem. They come in a wide range of traits, colors, and patterns; no Squib is like the other!

Squibs can appear both in a quadrupedal form and a bipedal form. Their presented form does not affect their capabilities!

shapes n sizes

Some Squibs grow as tall as a horse, and others stay the size of a house cat. The vast majority of Squibs fall within this range, but outliers occasionally appear...

The common Squib sizes are known as Sammy (Horse-sized), Sue, and Pixie (Cat-sized).

Subtypes

There are four known subtypes of Squib: Saltwater, Freshwater, Squibble, and Krakens. Saltwater and Freshwater are the most common Squibs, while Squibble and Krakens are extremely rare to come across.

Read more about subtypes here!

Required Features

These are traits that all Squibs have.

Face Tentacles
Face tentacles can be long or short, thin or wide! Typically, a Squib has 3-6 face tentacles.

Suckers
Suckers appear on the bottom side of a Squib's legs, and underneath their face tentacles. A Squib is able to hide the appearance of their suckers!
Suckers must be shown on the masterlist image.

Additional Tentacles
All Squibs have an extra set of tentacles on their bodies, that can be hidden at will. They do not have suckers, and cannot mimic limbs. Each Squib only has one set of these tentacles.
Additional tentacles do not need to be shown on the masterlist image.

Ink
Ink can be any color, and shot out of a Squib's mouth at will!
Ink does not need to be shown on the masterlist image.

Optional traits

These traits are free to use (or to not use)! Mix and match at no additional cost.

Smooth or Fluffy Skin: Some Squibs are smooth and shiny, others are soft and fluffy!

Fluffy Manes: Around their neck, a Squib can have a very fluffy mane.

Hands and Feet: The hands and feet of Squibs can be shown as paws, nubs, or hands. Plus, add an extra finger if you want!

magic (TBA)

As creatures of a mana-rich ocean, all Squibs are born with the capabilities for magic. They begin their journey with untrained magic skills. This allows them to: make extremely light objects float, cast basic elemental skills, shift between anthro and feral forms, and create low-tier potions and weapons. Additionally, Squibs can shoot water from their mouths!

More about magic will come in a future update, stay tuned!
